Carson Cooman is an amazingly talented and prolific composer both for his own instrument, the organ, and for many forms of instrumentation, as shown on this album of new works for combinations of brass and piano or harp, three solo piano works and a beautiful melancholy song cycle. The music is very original yet in largely traditional tonality in the post-Romantic genre. The sort of album which keeps bringing you back for more.
