Birmingham‑born cellist Alison Holford studied at Huddersfield University and Trinity College of Music, where she served as principal cello in major ensembles. She now works extensively across London and the south‑east, performing with St Paul’s Sinfonia, Splinter Cell, Bridgetower Music, and Opéra de Baugé. Her opera work includes featured cello roles with OperaUpClose and the King’s Head Opera. She has also appeared with Manchester Camerata and the Lancashire Sinfonietta and has performed concertos by Vivaldi, Brahms, Shostakovich, and Barber.
